Through a partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs, the city government of Navotas offered its constituents an easy and comfortable option to process their passport applications through “Passport on Wheels.”
Around 1,500 Navoteño Tuesday applied for or renewed their passports through DFA’s mobile passport service at the Navotas City Hall.
“We are grateful to the DFA for bringing the passport application process close to our constituents,” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.
“The Passport on Wheels offers great ease and convenience especially to our elderly, persons with disability, expectant moms, and young children. They will not have to go far to have their passports processed,” he added.
The city government, through the Navotas Hanapbuhay Center, distributed passport application forms last Feb. 6-16. Around 4,300 Navoteños trooped to the city hall to get the form.
However, due to limited slots, only 1,500 were given appointment stubs and told to return to the city hall for DFA’s data capturing.
Passports of those with approved applications will be delivered to their respective addresses.
